The study of mathematics and the practice of law…
Michael Ross grew up on the east side of the Cascades. His first impression of the law came from his father, who was a small town lawyer. The practice of law appeared to be a never-ending grind of client appointments, paper work, and court appearances. Michael had no plans to be a lawyer. In college, Michael majored in mathematics and computer science. However, during his senior year, Michael had a conversation with his father about the parallels between the study of mathematics and the study of law. That conversation is when Michael discovered his passion for the law, both the challenge of the legal analysis and the satisfaction of representing someone in need of an advocate. Michael graduated from law school twenty-five years ago, but his passion for the law and for those needing representation has not diminished.
